Tutorial
Search health conditions and medication classes and names
- Enter the condition name or medication class into the Search Box OR ...
- Click on the first letter of the condition name or medication class in the Alphabetical Search Menu
- Not sure what condition name to look for? TxPlanner search will route you to the correct condition information for alternate names and spelling for the same or similar condition (for example, search either tendinitis or tendonitis)
Each condition entry contains:
- Description of the condition, with an audible pronunciation of its name
- Typical signs and symptoms
- Contagion status and, if relevant, means of transmission
- Likely classes of prescribed medications
- Cautions and contraindications
- To bodywork modalities, techniques, session duration, and others
- Therapeutic intention for bodywork treatment
- Each bodyworker has a unique complex of training, therapeutic philosophy, and skills; focusing on the intention for treatment rather than on specific techniques allows each bodyworker to decide how s/he can most effectively meet treatment goals. There are, for example, different but equally valid routes to achieving the therapeutic intention of stimulating peristalsis.
